I stand on top of a grassy hill
In the middle of nowhere.
I look around and smile to myself
The wind blowing through my hair.
Silently I sit down
Then take a deep breath and sighed.
I lay down, and I look up
At the wonderful, vast blue sky.
The big white clouds went drifting
Through a simple, friendly race.
The sun itself grins at me
Then gently warms my face.
A blue jay quietly glides across
The gentle, open sky.
It sails down, down, down
And lands on the grass nearby.
I roll over and gaze around
At the bird, the grass, the trees.
I think of the world around me
Then pull myself to my knees.
I take a final look around
I know I must say good-bye.
I wish I could just stay forever
I smile, yet start to cry.
Everything is perfect here
All the silence and peace.
I love the nature and the beautiful sky
I wish I could always be free.
